COVID-19 Adjusted Opening Hours

Many facilities across Japan have closed or altered their hours as part of a government mandate to reduce further spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.

Many locations that were previously opened have been closed with the announcement of a 30 day state of emergency.

Facilities that remain open are subject to heightened health safety measures, including hand sanitisation, social distancing rules and limits on the number of visitors. Some activities or areas may be closed. Please expect delays or disruptions during any visits.

Check local information before visiting.

About Hiroshima

Hiroshima was almost completely wiped out by the atomic bombing during WWII, and the modern re-development means it has a different atmosphere to many other cities. It has a vibrant local food culture, and an open, spacious city offering a variety of world-class attractions. The nearby island of Miyajima also makes for an excellent day trip or overnight stay.
